  • After receiving your enquiry, we'll schedule an initial 15-minute phone call. During this call, we'll briefly discuss your needs and determine the best way to proceed.

    Following the phone call, we can potentially arrange an initial session. This session, whether in person or online, provides an opportunity for us to meet in a more in-depth manner, explore your needs, and discuss the possibility of working together.

  • Psychodynamic therapy, is a talking therapy that encourages open and free expression of thoughts and feelings. This process helps individuals uncover hidden meanings and patterns in their thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to their challenges.

  • Yes - the content of our sessions is strictly private and confidential. There are exceptions to confidentiality which are laid out in the BACP & BPC’s code of ethics.

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy is suitable for adults experiencing various psychological challenges, especially those that affect their relationships. This approach can assist with issues like depression, anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties, post-traumatic stress, couple conflicts, and personality challenges. It can also facilitate acceptance of new changes in life, such as illness, disability, or some form of loss.

  • Sessions last 50-minutes and are held once a week.

  • Research supports the effectiveness of psychodynamic psychotherapy for both mild and complex mental health problems. It has been shown to reduce depressive symptoms when compared to antidepressants alone. Short-term psychodynamic therapy can also be more effective than other treatments for somatic disorders. One of the most intriguing benefits of psychodynamic therapy, according to multiple studies, is that improvements keep on coming after the therapy has finished.

    The fee for a 50-minute session is based on a sliding scale, ranging from £65 to £80, depending on what is affordable for you.
